INVITATION TO BREAKFAST IN THE PARK

Hi all,

After 12 months of planning, training and the purchasing of all kinds of specialised equipment Peter Maguire and his mate John Dow are all set to commence their eight-month unsupported bicycle tour of the Australian mainland coastline.

The Fuji Xerox Canberra social club committee have kindly offered to prepare a cooked breakfast for those interested in coming along to Lennox Gardens to wave Peter and John off.

The idea of the breakfast is firstly to provide the opportunity for some hand shaking, well wishing and if we are very lucky maybe the “occasional hug” and secondly to raise a few more much needed funds for Cerebral Palsy Australia. Therefore we ask that you come along with a few gold coins jingling in your pockets to give to the breakfast chef.

Date: Thursday 01/05/08

Venue: Lennox Gardens, Yarralumla:

Breakfast: 7.30AM till 8.30AM

The Departure: At 8.30AM, straight after breakfast Pete and John will ride off into the distance on their laden bicycles (hopefully making Goulburn well before nightfall) and not returning to Canberra for some 230 days.
