Not far out of Port Hedland we came across the strangest sight… a bunch of termite mounds each bearing a construction worker’s hat. What the story behind the scene is we may never know, perhaps they are the hats of those who leave a particular mine? Whatever the truth, it is quite a sight to see on the side of the road!
