A nice wall painting in Halls Creek.
Turn off to Louisa Downs station, this turn off and mail box have particular significance to John and his family as the family spent some time living on the station in the sixties. John’s father was involved in the geological mapping of the area and they all lived in a camp on the station. John boarded at the school in Halls Creek Monday to Friday, which was demolished only last year.
Between Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing the landscape flattened out and we left the undulating country behind and found ourselves pedalling along straight flat roads again.
